RULES.We should all know the rules of roleplay by now, but every community has their own way of doing things and we here at The Actors Studio are no different.
First and foremost, the golden rule, keep OOC and IC separate. This should be a given but lines can often get blurred unconsciously. Remember that this is a game and no one is actually their character. Vice versa, their character should not be affected by what is happening OOC.
The update limit is four weeks in your own journal, removals will be done at six. We will be nudging people at five weeks. An update can consist of anything; one-liners, youtube's, you name it. Please also bare in mind that if someone attempts an override and your character shows no sign of life in the subcomms, we will give you 24 hours to respond to us, following that you will be removed.
We are a first come first serve community but we do allow overrides; if you are at more than three weeks in your journal and show no life in the subcomms, we will allow someone to override you. If someone is interested, we will PM you and leave you a comment in your friends only post. If you do not respond in 24 hours, your role will be available.
If you are interested in an override, please leave a comment in the dropbox and we will let you know if they can be overridden or not.
AIM is a requirement, at least until the community is established. We realize that it can be hard to be the first to IM anyone but we will be doing all we can to make this a friendly and welcoming environment, we ask that our applicants are willing to do the same.
"True" celebrities only please. We will not be accepting anyone of myspace fame etc at this time. Although we will accept a celebrity's real life other-half, even if they are not famous.
